First thing before choosing a sofa is to think about your family’s preferences and habits - is the the sofa for more for sitting only or does it has to allow you lay down or maybe even sleep on it.  After your family’s habits are clear then it’s time to choose the perfect size and shape. Sofa is an investment for many years, so it should take into consideration what are the needs for using the sofa during the years to come. If possible changes are foreseen, then it’s clear that the sofa will fill it’s purpose for its long lifespan.

SIZE AND SHAPE

Sofa is often the biggest furniture piece in the living room, so living room's size must be also taken into consideration. Good tip is to mark the size and shape of the sofa on the floor before the purchase is made.

If living room is rather small, then it’s not a good idea to maximize the size of the sofa. Big sofa in a small room can visually make the room even smaller and vice versa – if the room is large, but the sofa is small, the room may seem too empty.

There are also endless choices of upholstery. Prior to choosing a sofa it is necessary to feel the different materials because a photo cannot convey 100% the correct experience and the feeling.
