Meeting Point is not only a place where anonymous passengers and their private stories converge. It is also a product created by Luca Nichetto for Sancal, part of a tribute to the Turati station in Milan. Meeting Point is a pouf system which also integrates tables. The circle is the dominant shape, representing the station’s hole-like windows that open onto galleries and platforms. Upholstered seat is accompanied by round wooden and metal tables of different sizes and finishes. The thin steel legs create an illusion of levitation, as if the seats and tables are suspended in mid-air. An arrangement of different Meeting Points creates an elegant set in private residences, lobbies, breakout areas or other corporate spaces.
