Tallinn City Theatre

In October 2025, the Tallinn City Theatre was ceremoniously reopened after undergoing a thorough reconstruction over the past five years, gaining 620 new audience seats and new performance halls. The restored complex of historic Old Town buildings now combines contemporary theatrical functionality with carefully considered spatial solutions, where every detail contributes to the audience experience. In such an environment, auditorium seating also plays an important role – its comfort, durability, and suitability to the character of the space. ELKE Mööbel helped enhance the renewed Tallinn City Theatre with Jezet auditorium seating.

Jezet is a Belgian company focused on the production and development of auditorium seating. Over the decades, a diverse range of seating solutions has evolved to meet the requirements of different spaces and usage needs, allowing for both standard solutions and customized designs tailored to specific projects. At the Tallinn City Theatre, two types of Jezet auditorium seating are used: the Torso seating model in the Põrgusaal, and Flex Nova chairs with movable grandstand modules in the black box theatre. Both seating solutions are highly valued by theatre professionals and have received much praise for their comfort.
